Mars Hill places eighth at SAC Championships
The Mars Hill women's indoor track and field team concluded the 2019 South Atlantic Conference Championships Sunday in eighth place.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Mars Hill women's indoor track and field team concluded the 2019 South Atlantic Conference Championships Sunday in eighth place.
The Lions accumulated a total of 26.5 points over the two day event.
Tiffany Holloway earned eight points for the Lions with her second place finish in the shot put. She recorded a mark of 12.57 meters.
In the triple jump, Shaniqua Stevens fourth place finish earned five points for Mars Hill. Stevens recorded a distance of 11.37 meters. Kylee Peck finished fourth overall in the long jump with a mark of 1.57 meters, earning 4.5 points to the Lions' total.
Nyla Feeney placed 11th overall in the 3000 meter race with a time of 10:54.90 and the quartet of Peck, Arriel Smith, Sydney Britt and Shahnika Williams placed 10th in the 4x400 meter relay.
