Lions sit in eighth after day one of SAC Championships
The Mars Hill women's track and field team opened the 2019 South Atlantic Conference Championships in eighth place at the conclusion of Thursday's events.
HICKORY, N.C. - The Mars Hill women's track and field team opened the 2019 South Atlantic Conference Championships in eighth place at the conclusion of Thursday's events.
Earning 4.5 points for the Lions, Delaney Taylor placed fourth in the pole vault with a mark of 3.05 meters.
Tiffany Holloway finished fifth in the javelin, recording a distance of 35.07 meters. Her finish earned Mars Hill four points.
In the outdoor heptathlon, Lavaisiette Keller placed seventh overall with 2,107 points. In the event, Keller's best finish came in the high jump. She placed fifth with a mark of 1.46 meters.
Mars Hill ended day one of the SAC Championships with 8.5 points.
