Mars Hill places 16th at NCAA DII Southeast Region Championships
The Mars Hill women's cross country team placed 16th at the NCAA DII Southeast Region Championships, held in Wingate, North Carolina Saturday morning.
WINGATE, N.C. - The Mars Hill women's cross country team placed 16th at the NCAA DII Southeast Region Championships, held in Wingate, North Carolina Saturday morning.
Haley Gallup was the top placing Lion, finishing 61st overall. Gallup turned in a time of 24:16.0. Nyla Feeney placed 82nd overall, running a time of 24:48.2.
Sydney Britt and Kylee Peck finished 126th and 127th, respectively, recording times of 26:40.2 and 26:46.9. Megan Van Etten turned in a time of 28:22.1 while Alyssa Jamerson finished the race with a time of 29:22.0 to round out the Lions' squad.
The Lions ran a total time of 2:10:53.40 with an average time of 26:10.68 per runner.
