Bio

Marty Gilbert is a North Carolina native who attended Mars Hill University (MHU) and graduated in 1999 with a double major in Mathematics and Computer Science. He then pursued graduate work at Duke University in Computer Science, and upon completion began working at his alma mater (MHU), where he is now an Associate Professor of Computer Science.

Gilbert began serving as the Faculty Athletics Representative at MHU in 2004 and has enjoyed being an advocate for student-athletes. He has also enjoyed NCAA Division II committee service, serving stints on the Legislation Committee, Management Council, and Implementation Committee.

Gilbert resides in Mars Hill with his wife (Sarai) and son (Preston).
