Hartzog Leads After Opening Round of Tusculum Fall Classic
Chevy Hartzog shot a 66 and is the overall leader by two strokes
GREENEVILLE, TENN.- Senior Chevy Hartzog shot an opening round five-under-par 66 to lead the opening round of the 2015 Tusculum Fall Invite on Monday. The 36-hole tournament is being played at the par-71, 6,763 yard Link Hills Country Club.
Hartzog's 66 in his first round of the fall gives him a two stroke lead over a two player tie for second place. Alejandro Canizares and Adam Lumley each shot a two-over-par 73 and are tied for 11th place. Nick Caruso finished the opening round with a 76, followed by Dalton Thompson with a 79.
As a team, Mars Hill sits in fourth place with a four-over-par 288. Tusculum leads the tournament with a team score of 280, followed by Lenoir-Rhyne with a 285 and Walters State with a 286.
Mars Hill is scheduled to begin Tuesday's final round at 9:56 a.m.
