Butler wins second event in dramatic fashion

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. - Harry Butler won medalist honors at the Bob Dibble Classic by birdying the ninth playoff hole Tuesday afternoon. The win marks his second in as many events this season.
Entering the second round tied for fourth place, Butler shot -2 to tie with Tusculum's Anthony Bolden on the afternoon. Each player entered the playoff -3 after two rounds.
They started their extra play on the 18th hole and parred the first five of six holes. On the fourth hole, each player birdied. Following respective pars, birdies and bogeys on the fifth, sixth and seventh holes, Butler pulled away by sinking a birdie while Bolden parred the hole.
The Lions as a team finished tied for second with Christian Brothers. Host Tusculum came away with the victory, holding a five stroke lead over the runners-up.

Butler and Mars Hill will look to continue their momentum on Sunday, October 1 when they participate in the Lenoir-Rhyne Invitational in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
