Lions place 14th at Donald Ross Intercollegiate
The Mars Hill men's golf team finished 14th at the conclusion of the Donald Ross Intercollegiate held Tuesday afternoon.
MORGANTON, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's golf team finished 14th at the conclusion of the Donald Ross Intercollegiate held Tuesday afternoon.
Luke Challis was the top placing Lion, turning in a 45th place finish. Challis shot +17 over the three round tournament. Will Byrd placed 51st, finishing two strokes behind Challis.
Callum Ritchie ended the tournament in 64th place, shooting +22 over the two days. With a third round 75, Nicholas Boone jumped up three positions to end the tournament in 69th place. Rounding out the Lions' squad was Jose Moreno, who shot a third round 82, his second best round of the tournament.
Mars Hill shot 309 in the third round and combined for a total 922 over the two days.
