Trojans slide past Mars Hill in SAC opener
The Mars Hill men's tennis team (0-2, 0-1 SAC) fell 7-0 to Anderson (1-0, 1-0 SAC) Saturday afternoon as they opened South Atlantic Conference play.
MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's tennis team (0-2, 0-1 SAC) fell 7-0 to Anderson (1-0, 1-0 SAC) Saturday afternoon as they opened South Atlantic Conference play.
Anderson took the 1-0 advantage into singles play, narrowly escaping the Lions' duos of Rodrigo Ramos/Marcos Fernandez and Youssef Ardouni/Faris Hadzisadikovic.
In singles action, Fernandez won a three-set thriller in the third flight. Ramos battled tough in the first flight, but Juan Cruz Moncada was able to hold Ramos off in straight sets.
Mars Hill returns to the court on Thursday, February 25 versus Lenoir-Rhyne. First serve is set for 2 p.m.
