Lions sit in fourth after day one of Catamount Classic
The Mars Hill men's track and field team opened the Catamount Classic in fourth place at the conclusion of Friday's events.
CULLOWHEE, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's track and field team opened the Catamount Classic in fourth place at the conclusion of Friday's events.
In the 5000 meter, Skyler Cantrell placed third overall with a time of 16:27.80, earning six points. Finishing fourth and picking up five points, Jared Stanley recorded a time of 16:29.74. Blake Freeman placed seventh with a mark of 16:58.14 for two points.
Ben Goodlett, in the javelin, recorded a distance of 37.79 meters for an eighth place finish, earning one point for Mars Hill. Bryan Smith placed 11th in the long jump with a distance of 6.52 meters.
