Lions win Hagan Stone XC Classic
The Mars Hill cross country teams traveled to Greensboro, North Carolina to compete at the Hagan Stone XC invite. Both the men's and women's teams emerged victorious.
GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Mars Hill cross country teams traveled to Greensboro, North Carolina to compete at the Hagan Stone XC invite. Both the men's and women's teams emerged victorious.
The women's team placed all five runners in the top-10. Leading the pack for the Lions was Alyssa Jamerson, grabbing 2nd overall with a time of 21:38, and following close behind was Elana Mackey with a time of 22:43.
Megan Van Etten finished 7th with a time of 23:37 while Alina Mueller placed 9th with a time of 24:53.
Bringing it home for the Lions was Anahi Reta with 10th place finish, turning in a time of 25:06.
In the men's 8K race, Matthew Tingle lead Mars Hill with a 12th place finish, running 30:23. Coming in 15th was Blake Freeman, running a time of 32:43.
Elijah Swain placed 16th with a time of 33:03 and Hunter Synder ran 34:20, placing 18th overall. Aaron Newlon ran a time of 35:00, placing him 19th.

The Lions return to the course on Friday, October 8 when they run in the Royals XC Invite held at McAlpine Park in Charlotte, North Carolina.
