Mars Hill sits in first after opening round of MHU Spring Invitational
The Mars Hill women's golf team ended round one of the Mars Hill University Spring Invitational Monday afternoon in first place.
LORIS, S.C. - The Mars Hill women's golf team ended round one of the Mars Hill University Spring Invitational Monday afternoon in first place.
The Lions hold three of the top five spots, including Emilee Wenmoth leading all players. Wenmoth shot an opening round 82 to sit atop the leaderboard.
Jasmine Chesnut shot an 86 in round one to place third overall and trailing by one stroke was Janie Gooch, who ended the day in the fourth.
Shooting a 94 on the day, Marie Syvertsen found herself in a tie for 10th place overall and rounding out the Lions squad was Linnea Karlsson, placing 16th after round one.
