Lions lap Lenoir-Rhyne to remain undefeated
The Mars Hill women's swim team remained undefeated, coming away with a 153-109 victory over Lenoir-Rhyne Friday evening. Haley Horton and Kathryn Boland won all of their races.
HICKORY, N.C. - The Mars Hill women's swim team remained undefeated, coming away with a 153-109 victory over Lenoir-Rhyne Friday evening. Haley Horton and Kathryn Boland won all of their races.
Horton topped all competitors in the 100 Yard Backstroke, 100 Yard Freestyle and 100 Yard Butterfly. Boland set a Mars Hill University school record in the 200 Yard Butterfly with a time of 2:11.48. She also won the 200 Yard Breaststroke and 400 Yard IM.
Abby Harty picked up victories in the 200 Yard Freestyle and 100 Yard Breaststroke with times of 2:03.22 and 1:13.01, respectively. Rachel Nichols came away with the win in the 50 Yard Freestyle.
All four Lions won the 200 Yard Medley team event.

The Lions are 3-0 and head to Barbourville, Kentucky on Saturday, October 28 to face Urbana University and Union College. The meet is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
