Bio

Brady Moyers, from Knoxville, Tenn., enters his second season at Mars Hill University coaching the Wide Receivers. Coach Moyers mentored the Wide Receiver position group with Malik Laurent (first year starter) having an All-Conference year (19.4 yds per catch (1st), 68.0 yds per game (2nd), 680 yds on the year (2nd)). The passing game in the 2022 season totaled for 1,937 yards, 13 touchdowns with an efficiency rating of 148.9 (3rd in conference). In 2022, the passing game led the conference in yards per attempt (9.5 yds) and per completion (17.6 yds).  

Prior to Mars Hill, Moyers was a part of the Middle Tennessee State University coaching staff as the Wide Receivers Graduate Assistant. During his time there (2021 season), the Blue Raiders finished the season 7-6 with a Bahama Bowl victory over Toledo. Coach Moyers helped mentor four of the team’s top five receivers to career years in terms of receptions (Yusuf Ali, Jimmy Marshall (honorable mention all-conference), Jaylin Lane and DJ England-Chisolm). The wide receivers were accountable for 269 of the team’s 296 receptions and 27 of the 28 touchdown grabs. Coach Moyers also assisted in punt and punt return duties, and mentored the nation’s number one punt returner in 2021 (Jaylin Lane). Coach Moyers was responsible for recruiting athletes from his designated recruiting areas: Kentucky, North Carolina, Texas Junior Colleges, Miami.

Before MTSU, Moyers had a brief stint at Hardin Simmons University where he was a graduate assistant coaching the quarterbacks. Moyers contributed to the game planning/calling (press box) for the #1 offense in the country (DIII) for yards per game at 502.2 yards; while, placing 7th in passing efficiency in the nation in DIII.

Prior to Hardin Simmons, Moyers was the wide receivers coach and offensive assistant for Knoxville Catholic high school from January 2019 to June 2020. Coach Moyers had multiple players go onto the next level. Chancellor Bright (2020): Marshall University and Jack Janceck (2020) PWO at the University of Tennessee.

Coach Moyers played for Mount Saint Joseph from 2015-2018 as a quarterback. He helped lead the team to a conference championship in 2018 while earning academic all-conference honors all four years. Coach Moyers earned a bachelor’s in sport management and business degree from Mount Saint Joseph in 2018.
