The Mars Hill men's swim team swept both Emory & Henry (129-50) and King (114-63) Saturday afternoon.
EMORY, Va. - The Mars Hill men's swim team swept both Emory & Henry (129-50) and King (114-63) Saturday afternoon.
The quartet of Evangelos Daniil, Matthew Goslin, Joash McKonie, and Thomas Gibson claimed first in the 200 meter medlay relay with a time of 1:46.14. Daniil, McKonie, and Gibson, along with Rodrigo Leon Tejada also won the 200 meter freestyle relay with a time of 1:35.37.
Daniil won the 50 meter freestyle with a time of 24.28 while McKonie won the 100 meter butterfly with a time of 57.94.
In the 100 meter freestyle, Gibson took first with a time of 51.43 while Leon Tejada placed second with a time of 54.80. Goslin, in the 100 meter breaststroke, won the race with a time of 1:07.54.
Andres Bodington won the 400 meter freestyle with a time of 4:11.67 and Juan Jose Moncada claimed the 200 meter IM with a time of 2:01.00.

The Lions return to the pool on Saturday, January 20 when they face Lees-McRae & King. The meet is set for a 1 p.m. start.
