Bio

Jared Carter was named the Director of Strength and Conditioning at Mars Hill University in the summer of 2021

Carter joins Mars Hill after serving as the Interim Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Emory & Henry during the 2021 spring semester.  He also served as a Strength and Conditioning Intern with the Wasps from 2016-17. 

After serving as a Strength and Conditioning Graduate Assistant at Shorter from July 2017 to January 2018, Carter was named the Head Performance Coach for the Chinese Olympic Committee.  He developed and oversaw all strength and conditioning programs for the national mountain bike team and prepared both Olympic and national athletes to compete at the international level.

In October 2019, Carter was named the Director of Strength and Conditioning at the FC Barça Residency located in Casa Grande, Arizona. 

Carter graduated from Emory & Henry in May 2017 with a Bachelor’s in Religion while minoring in Human and Health Performance.  While at Emory & Henry, Carter was a two-year letterman for both the football team and men’s tennis team.

He obtained his Master’s from Liberty University in December 2020 in Exercise Science and Wellness.

Carter is a NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and obtained his USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach certification in January 2017.
