Lions edged by Trine in penultimate home meet

MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill acrobatics and tumbling team (0-3) was narrowly edged by Trine (1-3) by a score of 211.095 to 202.285.
The Lions took the compulsory event by a score of 29.10 to 25.70. The Lions scored highest in the pyramid with a score of 8.5 and in the toss with a score of 8.25.
The Thunder took the next three events: the acro, pyramid, and toss events. Mars Hill closed the gap in the tumbling event, taking the six-heat event by a score of 40.875. The Lions' top score came from Jocelyn Wente's aerial pass that scored an event-high 8.4.

The Lions return to the mats on Thursday, March 17 when they host both Coker and Lander for the program's first tri-meet. The meet is set for a 6 p.m. start.
