Lions compete in first ever road tri-meet
The Mars Hill acrobatics & tumbling team (0-7, 0-6 CC) fell to No. 7 Converse (7-2, 5-2 CC) and No. 9 King (7-1, 6-1 CC) Saturday afternoon on the road.
BRISTOL, Tenn. - The Mars Hill acrobatics & tumbling team (0-7, 0-6 CC) fell to No. 7 Converse (7-2, 5-2 CC) and No. 9 King (7-1, 6-1 CC) Saturday afternoon on the road.
King scored a total of 255.360, Converse posted a score of 248.655, and the Lions recorded a score of 208.590.
The Lions scored highest in the open pyramid heat of the pyramid event, scoring a 9.05. In the toss event, the Lions recorded an 8.3 in the 450 Salto and an 8.5 in the open heat.
During the tumbling event, the Lions recorded scores of 8.25 in the aerial pass, 8.3 in the 6 element pass, and an 8.75 in the open pass.

Mars Hill closes out their inaugural season on Tuesday, March 29 when they take on Emmanuel on the road. The meet is set for a 6 p.m. start time.
