Lumley Paces Lions at State Farm Intercollegiate
TAZEWELL, TENN. – The Mars Hill men’s golf team finished the first two rounds of the State Farm Intercollegiate in 13th position on Monday, October 10.
TAZEWELL, TENN. – The Mars Hill men's golf team finished the first two rounds of the State Farm Intercollegiate in 13th position on Monday, October 10. The Lions shot a combined 609 (+33) during the opening 36 holes of the tournament.
Senior Adam Lumley paced Mars Hill as well as the entire field, firing a 36-hole total of 139 (-5) to sit atop the leaderboard.
Harry Butler and Callum Ritchie are currently in a tie for 40th and 47th place after rounds of 152 (+8) and 153 (+9), respectively. Luke Challis opened the tournament with a two consecutive 83s for a two-round total of 166 (+22), while Dalton Thompson rounded out the five for the Lions with a 168 (+24).
Lincoln Memorial leads the overall standings after shooting a combined 569 (-7) on the afternoon. The third and final round will get underway tomorrow morning at 8 a.m.
