Myers, Griggs Have Strong Finishes at ETSU Buccaneer Invitational
Freshman James Myers and junior Alex Griggs each scored top 10 finishes on Saturday in the final day of the ETSU Buccaneer Invitational.
JOHNSON CITY, TENN.- Freshman James Myers and junior Alex Griggs each scored top 10 finishes on Saturday in the final day of the ETSU Buccaneer Invitational.
Myers finished in seventh place in the 60 meter dash final with a time of 6.93. Myers competed along with 95 other runners in the event. Griggs finished in third place in the 5000 meter run, crossing the finish line in 15:10.87. Griggs scored an eighth place result in the seeded 3000 meter run, finishing in 8:46.94.
Cameron Lackey finished in 27th in the 800 meter run with at time of 2:04.33. Cesar Reyes finished just behind Lackey in 2:05.02. In the open 3000, Chase Shermer scored a 15th place finish after running the race in 9:33.41.
In the long jump, Marcus Foster scored a 21st place finish with a leap of 6.51 meters.
Mars Hill is scheduled to compete in the Marshall Invitational next weekend.
