Phyall, Foster Compete at CNU Heptathlon
Isaac Phyall and Marcus Foster each traveled to the campus of Christopher Newport University to participate in the CNU Pentathlon/Heptathlon.
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Isaac Phyall and Marcus Foster each traveled to the campus of Christopher Newport University to participate in the CNU Pentathlon/Heptathlon. After four events, Phyall is in third place in the heptathlon with 2489 points, followed by Phyall in fifth with 2420 points.
Foster finished second in the 60 meter dash (7.23), followed by Phyall in third (7.34). The two reversed their finishing order in the high jump, with Phyall finishing in second and Foster in third. Each cleared the height of 1.81 meters (5'-11.25'') but Phyall needed fewer attempts to reach the height. In the long jump, Phyall scored a fourth place finish (6.18 meters), with Foster finishing in sxith (6.02 meters). The first day of competition wrapped up with the shot put, with Phyall finishing in fourth place after a heave of 9.60 meters. Foster finished in eighth with a distance of 8.42 meters.
