Lions conclude 2019 season with road contest against LMU

HARROGATE, Tenn. - The Mars Hill women's soccer team (2-13-1, 2-8 SAC) wrapped up the 2019 season with a 3-0 loss versus Lincoln Memorial (13-4, 6-4 SAC) Friday afternoon.
The Railsplitters netted all three goals in the first half. Jessica Cravero opened the scoring less than 10 minutes into the game, tucking home her 16th on the season. The marker proved to be the game-winner.
In the 18th minute, Maria Hernandez scored her second of the season, collecting a rebound and booting it past the Mars Hill goalkeeper. Just over eight minutes later, Thenia Zervas, who assisted on Cravero's tally, netted her third of the season. Hernanez picked up the assist on the goal.
Sanne Martinsen was responsible for both shots on goal for Mars Hill. In 31:29 of relief, Victoria Forren made two saves.
The Lions ended the regular season with a record of 2-13-1 and 2-8 in the South Atlantic Conference.
