Duane Moss joined Mars Hill coaching staff in 2024 after serving the previous two seasons at Life University where he helped lead the Running Eagles to a 41-19 record and a National Tournament appearance. Prior to that, he spent time as a coach for Flight 22 Prep in Wilmington, N.C.

A native of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Moss helped Flight 22 post a record of 25-7 while on staff.

Coming from a basketball family, Moss’ father, Benny Moss, is the current head coach at Gaston College He also served as the associate head coach at Coastal Carolina University and Head Coach at UNC Wilmington.

The South Carolina native attended UT Chattanooga for two years before graduating from Campbell University with a Bachelor's in Sports Management. Before coaching, Moss played NCAA Division I basketball at both UT Chattanooga and Campbell University.
