Mars Hill finishes sixth at L-R Bears Invitational
The Mars Hill women's outdoor track & field team finished sixth at the L-R Bears Invitational.
HICKORY, N.C. - The Mars Hill women's outdoor track & field team finished sixth at the L-R Bears Invitational.
Day 2 Highlights:
Elana Mackey ran a personal best 2:28.60 in the open 800, placing seventh overall. Mackey earned two points towards the overall team score.
Alina Mueller ran a season best, 2:28.88s in the open 800, placing 8th overall. Mueller two points towards the overall team score.
La'Miya Blake ran a season best, 17.71s in the 100m hurdles, placing seventh overall. Blake earned two points towards the overall team score.
Seanna Milton ran a personal best, 1:16.21s in the open 400m, placing seventh overall. Milton earned two points towards the overall team score.
Nasiri Mond competed in her first-ever collegiate track meet. Mond placed seventh in high jump with a jump of 1.33m. She earned two points towards the overall team score.
Chandler Adams threw a new personal best 8.59m in shot put. Adams placed 12th overall on the day.
Mykenzy Peck threw a new personal best, 22.25m in hammer. Peck earned a trip to the finals and placed ninth overall.
Anahi Reta ran a new personal best 2:55.43 in the open 800m. Reta placed 17th overall.
Katy Scruggs competed in her first ever 100m. Scruggs placed 14th overall with a time of 16.13s
Elaine Muenks competed in her first-ever collegiate track meet. Muenks placed 15th overall in the 100m with a time of 16.65s.
The team placed sixth overall with a team score of 26.5 pts.
The Lions travel to Western Carolina University to compete in the Catamount Classic on April 15th and 16th.
