Lions Swim to Split with Lenoir-Rhyne and Warren Wilson
HICKORY, N.C.-- Mars Hill's men's swim team split a tri-meet with Lenoir-Rhyne and Warren Wilson Friday evening at Lenoir-Rhyne University Pool.
HICKORY, N.C.-- Mars Hill's men's swim team split a double dual with Lenoir-Rhyne and Warren Wilson Friday evening at Lenoir-Rhyne University Pool.
The Lions swam their way to a 206-39 victory over Warren Wilson and were narrowly edged by Lenoir-Rhyne, 130-127. MHU was led by victories by the 400 Medley Relay team. Individually, the Lions were paced by Hudson Tucker's three first-place finishes. Salvatore Russo added a pair of first-place finishes, while Mladen Senicar added a win. Mars Hill is now 2-1 in dual meets this season.

The 400 Medley Relay team was made up of Tucker, Drew Rosser, Russo and Senicar. The team swam a time of 3:39.70 to narrowly-edge the second-place finishers from L-R.
Tucker earned victories in the 100 Back, 100 Free and 100 Fly. Senicar provided a tough challenge in the 100 Free, finished .14 seconds behind Tucker. Senicar won the 50 Free and added a second-place finish in the 100 Breast.
Russo won both the 200 Fly and Back. He added a second-place finish in the 200 IM. Rosser added second-place finishes in both the 50 Free and 200 Breast.
Trey Mason added a second-place finish in the 200 Free. Justin Gale placed third in the 500 Free and fourth in the 1000 Free.
Mars Hill will swim a dual meet against Milligan this Friday, Oct. 18 at 7:00 p.m.
