Fall Frenzy Final Results
Mars Hill’s swim teams completed competition in the final day of the Fall Frenzy. NCAA “B” cuts were made, another school record fell and several swimmers scored in their respective events.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Mars Hill's swim teams completed competition in the final day of the Fall Frenzy. NCAA "B" cuts were made, another school record fell and several swimmers scored in their respective events.
Hudson Tucker finished second in the 100-yard Free with a time of 45.47. Tucker made NCAA "B" cuts in all the individual events he competed in the Fall Frenzy.
Mladen Senicar made it to the finals in the 100-yard Free and placed 17th with a time of 47.53. Trey Mason finished 22nd in the 100-yard Free with a time of 47.75 while Drew Rosser placed 23rd in the finals of the same event with a time of 48.02.
Salvatore Russo qualified for the finals in the 200-yard Back with a time of 1.54:60, good for 17th place. On the women's side, Maggie Mills scored in the 100-yard Free placing 23rd with a time of 54.79.
The 400-yard Free relay team of Hudson Tucker, Salvatore Russo, Drew Rosser and Mladen Senicar set a new school record with a time of 3.08:23. The old record was held by Ed Smith, Hudson Tucker, Trey McGraw and Mike Wilkes set in 2011 at the Appalachian Swim Conference Championships. Today's time placed the relay team in ninth place at the 2013 Fall Frenzy.
The men placed tied for seventh place in a field of 12 teams in the three-day event. The women's team finished 11-of 12 in the Fall Frenzy.
Mars Hill's swim teams will return to action on December 6-7 at the Igloo Invite. The event will be held in Sewanee, Tenn.
