Lions Place Third at Sewanee Invitational
SEWANEE, TENN.-- Mars Hill's men's swimming team placed third in the Sewanee Invitational, which concluded Saturday.
SEWANEE, TENN.-- Mars Hill's men's swimming team placed third in the Sewanee Invitational, which concluded Saturday.
Lion swimmers helped the team earn 689 points. Pacing the effort were first-place finishes by the 100 Medley Relay team and 200 Medley Relay team. Hudson Tucker added a pair of wins, while Mladen Senicar notched another first-place finish. The University of the Cumberlands finished first with 866 points.

Each victorious relay team was made up of Tucker, Drew Rosser, Salvatore Russo and Senicar. The 100 Medley Relay team swam a time of 45.10, while the four swimmers turned in a time of 1:38.65 in the 200 Medley Relay.
Tucker added wins in the 50 Back in 25.09 and another first-place finish in the 100 Back. The senior also placed second in the 100 Fly, third in the 100 Free and fourth in the 50 Fly.
Senicar won the 100 Breast. He added a second-place finish in the 50 Free, was third in the 50 Breast and finished fourth in the 100 Free.
Rosser placed second in three events- the 50 Breast, 50 Back and 200 Breast. He added a pair of fourth-place finishes in the 50 Free and 200 Fly and finished fifth in the 1650 Free.
The 100 and 200 Free Relay teams each placed third. The 100 Free Relay was made up of Kendall Corbett, Justin Gale, Trey Mason and Seth Greene. The 200 Free Relay team consisted of Mason, Ryan Martin, Gale and Greene.
Mason added a second-place finish in the 200 Free and fourth-place finish in the 200 IM, while Corbett placed third in the 100 Back and fourth in the 200 Back.
Mars Hill will compete in the Wingate Fall Frenzy Invitational, which begins Nov. 22.
