Lions conclude ETSU Invitational
The Mars Hill men’s track and field team wrapped up their first meet of 2018 on Saturday at the ETSU Invitational.
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – The Mars Hill men's track and field team wrapped up their first meet of 2018 on Saturday at the ETSU Invitational.
Six Lions' ran in the 3000 meter including Noah Allison, who was the top Mars Hill finisher. Allison turned in a time of 9:12.60 which placed the junior 23rd overall. James Benik, Bryan Barbee and James Gilreath finished 42nd, 43rd and 44th with times of 9:51.59, 9:52.11 and 9:52.66, respectively. Barbee set a new personal record with the time. Skyler Cantrell and Garrett Farrimond rounded out the Mars Hill finishers, placing 51st and 53rd out of 61 runner field.
In the mile run, William Barbee was the Lions' top finisher with a time of 4:56.09. He was followed by Matthew Rogers at 5:00.79.
Tyler Holloway placed 30th overall in the shotput with a mark of 12.44m (40'9.75").
