Lions Finish in 17th at Pinehurst Intercollegiate
The Mars Hill women's golf team finished in 17th place at the Pinehurst Challenge held at National Golf Club.
PINEHURST, N.C.- The Mars Hill women's golf team finished in 17th place at the Pinehurst Challenge held at National Golf Club.
Jacqueline McCormick finished in a tie for 43rd place with a two-day score of 176. Sarah Johnson lowered her score by four strokes in the second round with a 91. As a team, Mars Hill had a total score of 776.
Armstrong's Jenna Birch was the medalist, shooting a two-day 154 for a two stroke victory over teammate Kristen Sammarco. The Pirates were the top finishing team, winning by 27 strokes over Lee University.
Mars Hill returns to action on Wednesday in the Border Battle against Milligan at Elizabethton Golf Club.
