Lions Earn Eighth Place Finish at Cliffs Intercollegiate
Senior Jacqueline McCormick shot a career-best 77 to lead the Mars Hill women’s golf team in the final round of the Cliffs Intercollegiate on Tuesday.
TRAVELERS REST, S.C. - Senior Jacqueline McCormick shot a career-best 77 to lead the Mars Hill women's golf team in the final round of the Cliffs Intercollegiate on Tuesday.
Victoria Barrett finished the tournament in a tie for 10th place with a team-best 162. McCormick finished two strokes behind Barrett in a tie for 13th with a 164. Mars Hill finished in eighth place with a team score of 700. Mount Olive won the inaugural edition of the tournament by one stroke over Erskine and Milligan. Erskine's Rachel Moore fired a pair of one-over-par 74's to win by four strokes over Milligan's Ann Sullivan. 43 players participated in the event.
Mars Hill returns to action on Monday at the Agnis McAmis Memorial at Link Hills Country Club in Greeneville, Tenn.
