Viscusi, Trammell Have Record-Setting Run
Seniors Jessica Viscusi and Faith Trammell became the first student-athletes in program history to break the sub-17 minute mark in the women’s 5,000 meter run
CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Seniors Jessica Viscusi and Faith Trammell became the first student-athletes in program history to break the sub-17 minute mark in the women's 5,000 meter run tonight at the Charlotte 49er Invitational. Both have broken the previous school record.
Viscusi finished in sixth place with a time of 17:44.26, with Trammell crossing the finish line in ninth place with a time of 17:55.40.
Vanessa Viscusi finished with a personal best in the 1500 meter run, breaking the tape in 5:32.82.
Running at the Shamrock Invitational in Conway, S.C. hosted by Coastal Carolina University, Alexis Montgomery finished in 33rd place out of 83 competitiors in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.63.
