Women's Track Sets Two School Records at Terrier Relays
Alexis Montgomery (100 meters) and Jessica Viscusi (1500 meters) set new school records
SPARTANBURG, S.C.- The Mars Hill women's track team set two school records at the Terrier Relays on Saturday.
Jessica Viscusi won the 1500 meter run with a new school record time of 4:43.44. Alexis Montgomery finished in third place in the 100 meter dash with a new school record time of 12.21.
Faith Trammell scored a fifth place finish in the 1500 as she finished in a personal best time of 4:54.94. Also in the 1500, Andrea Wolfrey lowered her personal best by 20 seconds, crossing the finish line in 5:48.49. Megan Smith finished in sixth place in the 3000 meter steeplechase in a personal best 12:18.34. Shaquavia Harper (25.93), Kendra Henry (26.28) and Alauna Reckley (26.95) each finished with personal bests in the 200 meter dash. In the field, LeeAnn Farr finished with personal bests in the discus (29.13 meters) and shot put (10.16) meters.
Mars Hill will make the short trip over Balsam Gap to the Beynon Sports Catamount Classic on Friday and Saturday.
