Lions take 5th at NCAA DII Southeast Region Cross Country Championships

WINGATE, N.C. - Brandon Beard and Garrett Farrimond helped lead the Lions to a fifth place finish Saturday morning at the NCAA DII Southeast Regional Cross Country Championships in Wingate, North Carolina.

In the penultimate race before challenging for a national title, Beard and Farrimond finished 23rd and 25th, respectively, with times of 32:59.88 and 33:06.55 in the 10k race. Noah Allison clocked in with a time of 33:38.51 for a 36th place finish.

Nick Resor and James Gilreath rounded out the top fifty with times of 34:11.53 and 34:15.93.

The Lions finished third out of the 10 SAC teams to run with a time of 2:48:12.41 overall.
