Lions sit in fifth after day one of Pfeiffer Invitational
The Mars Hill women's golf team ended day one of the Pfeiffer Invitational in fifth place at the conclusion of Monday's round.
HARDEEVILLE, S.C. - The Mars Hill women's golf team ended day one of the Pfeiffer Invitational in fifth place at the conclusion of Monday's round.
Emilee Wenmoth ended the day in second place, one stroke behind Inecia Rolle of Chowan for the top spot. Wenmoth shot a first round 79.
Jasmine Chesnut placed 11th on the day, finishing with a first round 87.
The duo of Leann Crotts and Jordan Martindale ended the day in 32nd and 34th, respectively.
Mars Hill ended the day, shooting a combined 371, six shots shy of fourth place.
The Pfeiffer Invitational concludes on Tuesday, March 3.
