Women’s Swimming Defeats Milligan
Day posts NCAA B Cut in 200 Yard Backstroke
MILLIGAN, Tenn. - The Mars Hill women's swimming team defeated Milligan by a score of 162-83. The Lions improve to 4-1 overall.
Nicole Day (Maggie Valley, N.C.) made a NCAA B cut after posting a school record in the 200 Yard Backstroke. She also won the 100 Yard Backstroke and 50 Yard Freestyle.
Lena Palo (Lexington, S.C.) won two events in the 100 and 200 Yard Freestyle. Katy Sorrells (Canton, N.C.) won both the 100 and 200 Yard Butterfly.
Megan Bartlett (Tallahassee, Fla.), Brittany Butler (Lake Wales, Fla.) and Nikki Holt (Kennesaw, Ga.) also won individual events for the Lions.
Mars Hill will travel to Catawba next Saturday for a double-dual meet against Catawba and Converse. The double-dual meet will begin at 1 p.m.
