Lions pick up first win of season, split with Lees-McRae & King
The Mars Hill women's swim team split their Saturday tri-meet, falling to Lees-McRae by a score of 96-90, but downing King by a score of 120-69.
MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill women's swim team split their Saturday tri-meet, falling to Lees-McRae by a score of 96-90, but downing King by a score of 120-69.
Maria Arrabal finished first in the 200 yard IM with a time of 2:19.88. Arrabal also claimed the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2:31.97.
Maria Jose Orozco placed first in the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 2:15.72 and placed second in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 25.00.
In the 200 yard freestyle, Sydney Gearhart placed second with a time of 2:06.20. Olyvia Moore finished second in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 58.13.
In the 500 yard freestyle, Cassidy Hull finished second, swimming a time of 5:42.48.
The group of Jose Orozco, Moore, Gearhart, and Hull placed second in the 200 yard freestyle relay, turning in a time of 1:45.13.
