
Lions named CSCAA Scholar All-American Teams
The Mars Hill men's and women's swim teams were named College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Teams, as released Monday afternoon.
MARS HILL, N.C. (CSCAA.ORG) - The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) proudly announces the selection of 783 teams from 461 institutions to the Scholar All-America Team for the Fall 2023 semester. These teams, representing a total of 18,716 student-athletes, were chosen based on their outstanding academic performance during the specified semester.
In order to qualify for this prestigious recognition, teams had to exhibit exceptional grade point averages during the Fall 2023 semester. Of the selected teams, an impressive 595 achieved a GPA of 3.30 or above, earning eligibility for the Intercollegiate Coach Association Coalition All-Sport Academic Standings.
Both the Mars Hill men's and women's teams were named Scholar All-America Teams. The men's team posted a 3.26 GPA while the women's squad boasted a 3.57 GPA.
