Lions fall to Nighthawks in game two of series
The Lions (2-6) dropped game two of a three game series against the Nighthawks of North Georgia (4-1) on Saturday afternoon by a score of 12-6.

DAHLONEGA, GA. – The Lions (2-6) dropped game two of a three game series against the Nighthawks of North Georgia (4-1) on Saturday afternoon by a score of 12-6.
North Georgia jumped out to a large lead early in the game due to a grand slam by Crews Taylor in the bottom of the second inning. The Lions attempted to strike back with two RBI's coming from first baseman Zach Weaver in the top of the third and fifth innings, scoring Scottie Lee and Chapel Matson.
The Lions were unable to hold off the Nighthawks, who would go on to score 12 runs on 11 hits in the contest, while Mars Hill scored a total of six runs on nine hits, committing one error.
Andrew Hazell was the Lions' starter, pitching 3.1 innings and striking out two. Pierce Williams was awarded the win for the Nighthawks after throwing five innings and striking out four.
The third and final game of the series is set to begin at 12:00 PM on Sunday, February 13th.
