Women's Tennis Defeats Brevard
The Mars Hill women’s tennis team won four singles matches en route to a 6-3 victory over Brevard in South Atlantic Conference tennis action on Monday. With the win, Mars Hill improves to 5-7 overall and 3-3 in league play.
BREVARD, N.C.- The Mars Hill women's tennis team won four singles matches en route to a 6-3 victory over Brevard in South Atlantic Conference tennis action on Monday. With the win, Mars Hill improves to 5-7 overall and 3-3 in league play.
For the third time in three matches, Tatiana Dualiby was victorious in both singles and doubles play. Dualiby and Lucy McLaurin defeated Katie Daugherty and Michelle Prata 8-5 in number one doubles, with Dualiby claiming a 7-5, 6-3 win over Daugherty in number one singles. McLaurin won number two singles 6-2, 6-4 over Prata.
Anna Rickenbaker was a 6-3, 7-5 winner over Jule Hermann in number three singles, while Jade Henke defeated Claudia Hellman 6-3, 6-1 in number four singles. Henke and Grace Diepenbrock were 9-8 winners in the third doubles flight over Hermann and Ana Drummond.
Mars Hill returns to the Hart Tennis Complex for the first time in over a month on Wednesday, hosting Carson-Newman at 1 p.m.
