Women's Cross Country Places Eighth at Championships
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Junior Kaleigh Jackson earned an All-SAC Second Team nod and the Mars Hill women’s cross country team earned an eighth-place finish at the 2016 South Atlantic Conference Cross Country Championships on Saturday, October 22 at the Clemson Sandhills Research Park.
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Junior Kaleigh Jackson earned an All-SAC Second Team nod and the Mars Hill women's cross country team earned an eighth-place finish at the 2016 South Atlantic Conference Cross Country Championships on Saturday, October 22 at the Clemson Sandhills Research Park.
Jackson crossed the line in 12th place to pace the Lions on the morning, while teammates Rachel Strickland and Sydney Britt collected 48th and 49th places, respectively.
Queens won the women's championship with Wingate finishing second. Anderson, Catawba, and Carson-Newman rounded out the top-5, in that order. The Royals' Corinne Kule won the individual event.
