FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. - The Mars Hill acrobatics and tumbling team closed out their inaugural season on the road versus Emmanuel, falling by a score of 245.835-239.265.
The Lions set a new program best with their 239.265 points. Mars Hill also set their new highest heat score in the compulsory, scoring a 9.550 in the compulsory toss. The Lions recorded five 9.0 or higher scores on the night, including two in the pyramid in heats one (9.250) and three (9.000).
Mars Hill won two events on the night, taking the toss with a event total of 25.350 to Emmanuel's 23.350 and in the tumbling event with a score of 47.525 to Emmanuel's 46.625. The Lions were separated by 1.45 entering the team event.
Emmanuel scored an 87.510 to Mars Hill's 82.390 to hold on and earn the victory.
