MARS HILL, N.C. – Olivia Kincaid has been named the new head acrobatics and tumbling coach at Mars Hill University.
"I am beyond grateful for this opportunity to lead the acrobatics and tumbling team into their second season of competition," Kincaid said. "There has been a solid foundation built for this young team and I look forward to continuing its growth. I want to thank Coach Shelby Armstrong and Rick Baker for making this possible."
Kincaid, before coming to Mars Hill, was the head acrobatics and tumbling coach at Bluefield State College, taking the role in November of 2020. Just a couple months in, she also became a coach at Peak Gymnastics. She began coaching gymnastics in the summer of 2012, spending seven years as a coach and manager at Northwest Gymnastics in Lawson, Missouri.
"Olivia is a great fit to be our new acrobatics and tumbling coach," stated Baker. "She started the sport at her previous institution, so she has a lot of experience building new programs. Her experience with acrobatics and tumbling, combined with her recruiting skills will make her very successful at Mars Hill."
Kincaid obtained her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Economics from King University in 2020, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She was named to the National Acrobatics and Tumbling Association All-Academic Team in 2020 and served as team captain from 2017-2020.
