Lions fall to No. 7 Limestone, No. 12 Coker
The Mars Hill acrobatics & tumbling team (2-5) was defeated by No. 7 Limestone (8-0) and No. 12 Coker (5-1) by scores of 261.970 and 254.390 to 228.200, respectively.
GAFFNEY, S.C. - The Mars Hill acrobatics & tumbling team (2-5) was defeated by No. 7 Limestone (8-0) and No. 12 Coker (5-1) by scores of 261.970 and 254.390 to 228.200, respectively.
After the Compulsory event, the Lions were in second with a score of 33.85. They outscored both teams in the acro heat, recording an 8.70.
In the Pyramid event, Mars Hill scored two 9.0s, including a 9.50 in the synchronized heat. During the Toss, the Lions scored highest in the 450 Salto with an 8.50.
During the Tumbling event, in the individual heats, the Lions improved with each heat. In the six element, the Lions scored an 8.45 while in the 6-element, they scored an 8.65. Finally, in the open pass, the Lions scored their highest during the event with an 8.75.
Mars Hill next competes on Saturday, March 23 when they face Emmanuel. The meet is set for a 3 p.m. start.
