Men's Swimming Adds Four to 2017-18 Squad
Head Swimming Coach Teddy Guyer has announced four additions to the 2017-18 Lion Swimming Team.
MARS HILL, N.C. - Head Swimming Coach Teddy Guyer has announced four additions to the 2017-18 Lion Swimming Team. The committents include Ryan Adams, Brendon Cyprianos, Matthew Kowalczyk and Angel Regalado.
Ryan Adams is from Hiddenite, N.C., where he attended Alexander Central High School and swam under the direction of Nikki Bost. He also swam for the YMCA Wilkes Tyde coached by Richard Huffman while also swimming summer league at Elkin Wet Lighting coached by Oz Prim. Ryan is the son of Teddy and Jennifer Adams |

Brendon Cyprianos is from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, where he attended Christian Brothers School and swam for the Penguins Swimming Club under the direction of his father, Edmore Cyprianos. He has also been the National Team Captain for Zimbabwe. A highlight in his career was a bronze medal finish in the 200-back stroke at the under 20 AUSC Region 5 games in 2016. Matthew Kowalczyk is from Huntsville, Ala., where he attended Virgil, I. Grissom High School. He competed at the State Championships all four years of high school under coaches Chris Brown and Cole Jolley. He has competed for the Huntsville Swim Association under head coach Matt Webber and for the Rocket City Summer Swim League. Matthew is the son of Bruce and Allison Kowalczyk. | |
Angel Regalado is from Madrid, Spain, where he attended Liceo Europeo School in Madrid City. Angel swam at Real Canoe Natación Club under the direction of Javier Gurucharri. Angel has been a national finalist at the Spanish National Championship. Angel is the son of Esther Santiago and Angel Regalado. |
