Multiple records set at SAC Championships
The Mars Hill men's swim team placed fifth at the South Atlantic Conference Swim Championships, the four-day meet that concluded on Saturday, February 17.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's swim team placed fifth at the South Atlantic Conference Swim Championships, the four-day meet that concluded on Saturday, February 17.
Four records were set on the men's side over the championship weekend.
Andres Bodington placed third overall in the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 9:20.41. In the 50 yard freestyle, Thomas Gibson placed second overall with a time of 20.13.
The 200 yard freestyle relay team of Gibson, Joash McKonie, Rodrigo Leon Tejada, and Evangelos Daniil turned in a new Mars Hill record of 1:22.48. In the 400 yard medley relay, Gibson, Daniil, McKonie, and Matthew Goslin swam a record-breaking 3:22.76.

Mars Hill returns to the pool on Friday, February 23 and Saturday, February 24 when they swim at the Emory Invitational.
