The Mars Hill men's swim team was defeated by Carson-Newman by a score of 108-96 Friday evening.
MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's swim team was defeated by Carson-Newman by a score of 108-96 Friday evening.
The group of Evangelos Daniil, Matthew Goslin, Joash McKonie, and Thomas Gibson took the 200 yard medley relay with a time of 1:33.53.
Gibson took first in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 21.08. In the 100 yard butterfly, McKonie claimed first with a time of 50.98.
Goslin placed second in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:00.65.
Andres Bodington won the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 9:42.05. In the 200 yard freestyle, Rodrigo Leon Tejada finished first with a time of 1:47.26.
Evangelos, Leon Tejada, Gibson, and McKonie won the 200 yard freestyle relay to close out the meet, turning in a time of 1:23.93.

Mars Hill returns to Harrell Pool on Saturday, October 28 when they host Lees-McRae and King in their first home tri-meet of the year. The meet is set to start at 11 a.m.
