Mars Hill finishes fifth at Catamount Classic
The Mars Hill men's track and field team placed fifth at the conclusion of Saturday's events at the Catamount Classic.
CULLOWHEE, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's track and field team placed fifth at the conclusion of Saturday's events at the Catamount Classic.
David Elkins earned three points for the Lions in the 400 meter dash, turning in a time of 51.02. In the same race, Kevshon Hobson placed eighth to earn one point, recording a time of 53.13.
Tyrize Claud picked up eight points with his second place finish in the 110 meter hurdles, running a time of 15.69. Claud earned another three points in the 400 meter hurdles, placing sixth.
The team of Rodney Dejournett, Malik Frost, Hobson and Jahrel Morrison finished fifth in the 4x100 meter relay, earning four points with a time of 43.75. Dejournett, Elkins, Hobson and Joshua Vereen placed seventh in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 3:38.71 to pick up two points.
