Mars Hill participates in Appalachian Open
The Mars Hill men's indoor track and field team participated in the Appalachian Open on Saturday.
BOONE, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's indoor track and field team participated in the Appalachian Open on Saturday.
Tyrize Claud turned in a third place finish in the 55 meter hurdles, recording a time of 8.07 and setting a new personal record.
In the shot put, Tyler Holloway finished 10th overall with a mark of 13.25 meters. Lee Prescott placed 14th while Ben Goodlett and Austin Prince finished 16 and 18th, respectively. Prince's distance of 8.58 meters was a personal record.
Rodney Dejournett finished 16th overall in the 300 yard dash while Joshua Vereen finished 19th. Dejournett posted a time of 37.79, a new personal record, while Vereen finished in 38.08.
