HARROGATE, Tenn. - The Mars Hill women's lacrosse team (4-9, 2-6 SAC) was defeated 16-3 by Lincoln Memorial (6-7, 3-4 SAC) Wednesday afternoon.
Mars Hill was held scoreless in both the first and third quarters, allowing five goals in each. They scored their first goal of the game with 9:50 remaining in the first half as Alexa Tazzetta finished off a pass from Chandler Werner. With 5:03 left, Haley Stallings scored the second Lions' marker of the half.
In the fourth, Mina Muirhead converted a man-up free position for the Lions' third goal of the day.
LMU's Ali Van Der Ziel led all players with nine points (4g, 5a). Sydney Joyce led all players winning four draw controls.
The Lions close out their road schedule on Saturday, April 15 when they take on Anderson. First draw is set for 3 p.m.
