Lions place fourth at King Early Invite
The Mars Hill women's swim team finished the King Early Invite in fourth place after Saturday's races.
KINGSPORT, Tenn. - The Mars Hill women's swim team finished the King Early Invite in fourth place after Saturday's races.
Haley Horton placed first overall in the 200 yard backstroke, recording a time of 2:14.88. Horton turned in a fourth place finish in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 1:01.81. Brianna Broussard placed eighth in the event, swimming the race in 1:02.26. Broussard also finished fifth in the 200 yard butterfly.
In the 200 yard freestyle, Elena Massa finished 9th with a time of 2:03.95 whiile Ashley Hicks placed ninth in the 100 yard backstroke, recording a time of 1:04.98.
In the 1650 yard freestyle, Lorna Doorman finished sixth with a time of 19:06.58. Abbie Hinsley finished ninth with a time of 20:25.34.

The Lions return to the pool on Friday, October 11 for their first dual meet of the year as they take on Lenoir-Rhyne and UNC Pembroke.
