MARS HILL, N.C.-- Mars Hill's women's tennis team improved greatly upon a spring matchup against Milligan College, but fell to the Buffaloes 5-4 in a non-conference match Friday afternoon at the Hart Tennis Center.
A combination of senior leadership from Tatiana Dualiby and Anna Rickenbaker, combined with a talented in-coming freshman class made the Lions a threat. MHU was previously defeated by Milligan 9-0 in the spring season. Dualiby and Rickenbaker each won both their singles and doubles matches to help the Lions earn four points. Dualiby teamed with freshman Lucy McLauren and Rickenbaker paired with freshman Jade Henke for their doubles wins.
Mars Hill will play a non-conference match at Spartanburg Methodist tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. The Lions are 0-1 on the season.
